SKATER ROTOSCOPE

This mixed-media project explores rotoscoping through a self-shot skatepark video of a skater performing a trick over a flight of stairs. I split the footage into individual frames and rotoscoped each one in Procreate, using textured brushes, outlines, and blend modes to create a more tactile, analogue feel. Set to Butterflies by Michael Jackson, the animation contrasts fluid motion with expressive mark-making. As my first experiment with rotoscoping, the project reflects my curiosity for new techniques and my interest in using moving image as a tool for visual storytelling and skill development.
