REIMAGINED
STONE:

PROJECT
BRIEF.
COVER CONCEPTS.

This project is an independent rebrand of Rolling Stone, exploring how a legacy music magazine can be re-energised for a contemporary audience while retaining its cultural authority. My aim was to modernise the brand through a playful, expressive identity, reintroducing analogue and mixed-media aesthetics in response to an increasingly polished and digital media landscape. The visual direction combines a modernised logo, black & white imagery, saturation, texture, and collage to balance nostalgia with innovation.
The project includes billboard mockups, animated brand assets, editorial-style concepts, and a custom-designed typeface - my first experience creating a font from scratch. Leading this rebrand independently strengthened my creative direction skills, deepened my understanding of branding systems and typography, and expanded my confidence across Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Procreate. This project reflects my ambition to work as a creative director, merging concept, culture, and visual storytelling within music-led design.
