This project is a short-form music video created for the chorus of Money Trees by Kendrick Lamar, developed as an exploration of video composition and VFX using existing footage. I curated and re-edited clips from multiple Kendrick Lamar music videos, merging them into a cohesive sequence through the use of transitions, filters, overlays, and animated lyric text. The visual treatment was inspired by degraded, analogue TV footage, allowing me to experiment with texture, rhythm, and atmosphere while responding directly to the tone of the track.

 

The outcome focuses on recontextualising existing material through editing and visual effects, rather than original footage, strengthening my skills in VFX, timing, and visual storytelling within music-led content. Visual excerpts are included to highlight specific alterations and effects, and all source material has been fully credited in the linked video description. This project demonstrates my ability to creatively manipulate moving image, experiment with post-production techniques, and build a strong visual narrative aligned with sound and mood.
